A governed Azure medallion, delivered in two phases

Azure Data Factory pulls from the J&J supplier quality systems into Bronze on ADLS Gen2. Azure Synapse curates Silver and Gold (or an existing Fabric workspace, if J&J has one - none is provisioned). Gold is served through Azure SQL Database into the Lighthouse Power BI reports, with Daxia over the lake.

Every source lands raw and immutable in Bronze, with history from day one. Daxia exposes the source tables so the business can do its own data mapping.

Phase 2 · Built to the business's mockup

Silver conforms supplier entities; Gold models supplier performance, risk and action at the agreed grain - served to the Lighthouse reports the business already designed.

The Lighthouse on a governed Azure medallion, in two phases

Mid-October to early December 2026.

Phase 1 - Platform and ingestion: provision ADLS Gen2 with hierarchical namespace, Azure Data Factory, Synapse and Azure SQL; connect ESQRP, Comet, M7 and the remaining supplier quality systems; land each source raw into Bronze. Daxia is deployed early so the business can explore source tables and schemas and carry out the data mapping itself.
Phase 2 - Curate and serve: Silver conforms supplier entities across systems against the M7 master; Gold builds supplier performance, risk and action models at the agreed grain. Gold is published to Azure SQL Database and the Lighthouse Power BI reports replicate the business's mockup.
Transformation runs on Azure Synapse Analytics. Microsoft Fabric is conditional only - used in place of Synapse if J&J already has a Fabric workspace. No new Fabric workspace is requested.
Daxia is a React application deployed into J&J's own Azure tenant, with usage billed locally. It is a delivered asset that stays with J&J - no ongoing licence dependency on the delivery partner.
